My best travel recommendation is to use a travel agent. I know that there is lots of opportunities to book travel on your own at what seems like a good price but I absolutely love having a live person to talk to when planning my trips.
Here are my top reason to book through a travel agent.
They have access to better deals than I can find. Anytime I've booked a trip, I've done a bit of research on my own and then I leave it too the travel agent. The price she quotes typically is better than any deal I can find. Now don't get me wrong I know they are fantastic deals on sites like Priceline etc but if you don't read the small print you might not have travel insurance, your flights are terrible and your hotel room is subject to change meaning nothing is guaranteed.
They save you time. To add to number one have you ever tried to book a trip and don't know exactly what you want? It can be a daunting long task. They are experts of travel and typically know the good, the bad and the hidden gem no one else knew about.
They are a live person to handle any hiccups in your travel. If there are any issues, it's nice to be able to call someone that has your back. They can get things changed and figured out for you so you can continue to have fun on vacation. They are there to be your advocate.
While I know we live in a technological world and booking travel should be easy, I'd rather have someone in my pocket that can help me navigate through it all so next time you book a trip just call and get a quote. You won't be disappointed.
