Annapolis

Annapolis is a quaint coastal town full of history. I was able to be here for a few days in the beginning of November and it was unusually warm with boats still in the water. If you've never been, Annapolis is about an hour away from Washington DC and home to the US Naval Academy. Heres my review.
First and foremost I loved, loved, loved how dog friendly this town was. Restaurants and shops alike accommodated four legged friends and I can't wait to return someday with one of my own. So much history is here! Tour the courthouse for free, it's a mini museum that you won't want to miss. Tour the naval academy and the beautiful St Mary's Parish where St. Justin's remains are in a small cemetery behind the church (martyred between 308-314). We stayed away from the main strip in a crown royal plaza and that is the only thing I would change. Hotel was great but I would prefer to be right near the action.
Food:
Mason's Famous Lobster Roll-exactly what it is. Great lobster roll and clam chowder. Located on Main Street so easy access while shopping.
Carol's Creek 5 star dining. Right on the harbor. Beautiful and delicious.
Pusser's-Great location right on the water. Stopped in for an Orange Crush (local drink) and to listen to live music.
Boatyard Bar and Grill-so many kinds of oysters! Great atmosphere and good beer selection. Wood fire pizza was delicious.
Middleton Tavern- Originally built in 1750. Awesome tavern. Great beer selection and oyster shooters.
Chick and Ruth's-Must stop here! They operate as a small hotel but we stopped in for breakfast. Great crab benedict. Great pie. Fun vibe and everyday they make you say the pledge allegiance if you're there in time.
All in all Annapolis was all it needed to be and I can't wait to return hopefully in the summer. This is place for anyone that loves, history, shopping, good food and a bit of sea breeze.
